The BlindMatters Foundation Inc. was founded in Santa Barbara, California in the year 2000.

The primary objectives and purposes of this corporation shall be: to assist blind people with new information on assistive technology, entertainment and medical developments; and to make information available on audio tape, a Web Site and voice mail. Additionally, the Foundation will help the blind to find employment and lead them to treatment opportunities.
